Crown Technical Staffing is looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to work with a reputable furnace manufacturer in the Northeast USA. The ideal candidate will install, commission, diagnose, and repair vacuum and thermal heat-treating equipment. This person will be responsible for in-field installations and troubleshooting heating chambers and sensors. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with full benefits and 60-70% domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities of Field Service Engineer

·      In-field installations: set up, adjust, troubleshoot, revise systems, and correct problems that develop during the erection, operation, and repair of heat processing equipment

·      Studies blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures.

·      Operates system to demonstrate equipment and to analyze malfunctions.

·      Interprets maintenance manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, to carry out equipment repairs, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.

·      Will advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.

·      Perform troubleshooting and revisions of relay and instrumentation circuitry.

·      Perform set up and adjustments of systems; analyze deficiencies and correct them.

·      Answer customer and installer technical inquiries regarding company products via telephone, letters, fax, and e-mail

·      Troubleshoot Siemens PLC problems

Qualifications for Field Service Engineer 

·      4+ years of relevant work experience

·      Experience in field service installation/troubleshooting

·      Must be U.S. Citizen

·      Must have valid U.S. Passport
