Manufacturing Engineer III

About the Role:

Are you a seasoned manufacturing engineer looking to play a critical role in a rapidly growing company? Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III who is adept at project leadership and hands-on technical work. This position is pivotal for driving our engineering and manufacturing transformation as we scale up for new product lines and expand our capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on support in mechanical design, fixture creation, and process improvements; integrate knowledge in electrical, plumbing, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Team Management: Manage and develop a team of 1-2 junior engineers, providing guidance and addressing performance issues.
  • Process Innovation: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, redesign manufacturing layouts, and enhance automation to boost efficiency.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including quality, safety, and continuous improvement departments to ensure effective project execution.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in engineering roles with significant project leadership and process improvement experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in mechanical design and Lean manufacturing, with a proven track record of hands-on problem-solving and project management.
  • Leadership Qualities: Exhibits strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience in managing small to medium-sized engineering teams.
